About Graeme...

As Managing Director of Frontier Television (NZ) Ltd, Graeme continues to produce the popular TV series “Gone Fishin”, which is about to go into its 18th year on television. 

Having spent most of his formative years fishing, fishing and fishing; as a hunter both recreationally and professionally; guide; diving instructor; white water rafting and skiing to name just a few activities.  He also developed and ran outdoor management and team building courses. 

Even now, having been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis approximately 14 years ago, Graeme does not let his being in a wheelchair stop him.  He continues to do as many of these activities and more!

Mid 2009 he commenced and continues to host the Carters’ Gone Fishin radio show on Radio Sport, Saturday mornings 6–7 am, with Kent John.

Books...

His writing continues with magazine publications Fishing Coast to Coast, New Zealand Fishing News, Australian Women’s Weekly to name but a few.  Currently working on two books and several DVDs.

Documentaries...

Graeme continues to support show sponsors with many speaking engagements, hosting fishing trips, function MC, product and sales support, store appearances etc.

He is nationally involved in attending “Carters Kids Gone Fishin”; a charitable event in conjunction with Carters, the major show sponsor and Police Blue Light, involving a kids’ half day of fun and fishing. These events have now been running for 14 years and are becoming increasingly popular with up to 2000 children attending.

Through his involvement with Kids Gone Fishin, Graeme has been appointed a Patron of Police Blue Light.

Has filmed with New Zealand’s Prime Minister, John Key.

Published first book entitled “New Zealand - A Wild Place to Play”.

Filming completed for another documentary entitled “Dive - Treasure from the Three Kings.

2009   Series 17 of Gone Fishin begins with a new editing facility and a total revamp.

Appointed by Her Majesty the Queen, in the 2009 Queen’s Birthday Honours, as a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit [MNZM]” for recognition of his services to Television.
